'Along the river front, changing the zoning from industrial to commercial to encourage marinas, restaurants, condos on the river front.'
There is also a proposal to turn the beach into a promenade so residents can walk their dogs or go for a jog."

It sounds so fantastic. But when they haven't even removed all the debris yet -- it seems far-fetched. Of course I'd like a promenade where I can walk the dog along the beach! Uhm.. but how many of us will be left to enjoy such things if we can't rebuild what used to be here as well?
