I have posted pictures before of the affordable houses that are being built around Pascagoula. They are not just on the street I depict. There is more of a grouping in this area. I have seen a scattering in other neighborhoods. All are in approximately the same vicinity. The ones below are on Choctaw.
All of this is painfully slow. We have come a long way since the storm but realize that there is much more work ahead of us. Something I would like to see again is pretty landscaping. Market Street's median looks good but thieves have been stealing the plants, especially the small palms. West Beach Boulevard is going to have a facelift in the very near future. So rebuilding is finally taking place all around the coast. There are still too many families in Fema trailers, we must do all we can to get them into a home again.
On the upside, tomorrow's forecast is for one more day of sun and the downside, rain will return!
