WLOX-TV - The News for South Mississippi: City Officials to Discuss Hosting Races in Gulfport: "Gulfport officials will be discussing the possibility of hosting an Indy Racing League road race.
The Gulfport City Council voted 5 to 1 Tuesday in favor of the measure, agreeing on a letter of intent to discuss the possibility of holding a race with Marquis Sports marketing Firm. The races would be held in October and April in the city."
