The Sun Herald | 01/08/2007 | �2� CHILDREN DIE IN FIRE: "The Womack sisters were watching a Disney show on TV during a sleepover at their 'Pappy's' mobile home Saturday night when one of the girls noticed smoke.
Doug Byrd, their grandfather, said he ran outside to grab a water hose, and within maybe 30 seconds, by his estimation, it was too late to reach them. The fire at Byrd's home in the Bond community north of Wiggins spread so quickly that the girls were trapped inside. They died as neighbors also frantically tried to get them out."
